Javi Ramirez Ardon

I'm originally from San Francisco, CA, and I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology at Yale. I was first introduced to research through an internship at the Krummel Lab at UCSF as part of the CIRM SPARK program. Here I developed an interest in immunology and gained hands-on experience in the day-to-day work of a researcher. Following that, I completed a fellowship at the UCSF Genitourinary Oncology Clinic, which deepened my passion for cancer research and sparked my curiosity about the factors driving different patient outcomes. I joined the Kersten Lab with the support of the George J. Schulz Fellowship to study how interactions between immune cells shape anti-tumor immunity. In my free time I enjoy sketching, listening to music, and going to museums.
